What if I compete?

Ask your sport’s governing body about its rules before making a treatment decision. Medical and competition questions need separate answers.

World sport names this substance

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) sets the prohibited list used under the world anti-doping code.

Its list in force for 2026 names BPC-157 and prohibits it both during and outside competition. That position was recorded on September 28, 2026.

The next list still names it

The published WADA list taking effect January 1, 2027 also names BPC-157. It had not replaced the current list in the September 28, 2026 record.

Ask which list applies to your event and where your governing body publishes updates.

College sport has its own list

The US college sports body, the NCAA, names BPC-157 in its banned-substance list for the 2026–27 academic year.

Ask the athletics health or compliance staff to explain the rule that applies to you. Keep the reply with your treatment questions.

Military supplement rules are separate

The US military’s prohibited supplement-ingredient database also includes BPC-157, as recorded September 28, 2026.

That database governs dietary supplements for service members; it is not a rule about all prescribed care.

Ask your military health service about your circumstances rather than relying on a claim made in an advert.
